New Times Entertainment is a company that produces music, movies, videos, live tv, radio events, event promotions and content distribution. Owner Leonard Phillips had very humble beginnings in the small rural village of Questelles, located on the Volcanic Caribbean Island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. In school, he will gather his friends under the mango tree with a bucket and bottles which they will use as a drum set to create rhythms. His passion for music was nurtured when he migrated to the USA at age 17. Upon moving to the US, he took up residence in Manhattan, NY. With his new found friends they started a singing group called CODE RED where he was the DJ/Singer. The group did not stay together but this did not seem to bother him very much because being in the forefront of the group did not showcase his real talent. His passion was creating music. One day he visited his dad in Brooklyn and in the basement spotted a small unused space, the sparks went off like fireworks. This, was the beginning of New Times Entertainment! Leonard had a vision of turning this area into a studio where he can retreat by himself and release all the beats and rhythms out of his head that were so picturesque. This came into fruition within one month. The space was created and it was time for research and building of his brand. He used money earned from his construction business Proqaulity Improvement LLC to purchase equipment needed to set up his studio. His drive and ideas were all self realized and self funded. He started attending workshops and conferences on starting a music label, in doing so his network began building without any effort. He met musicians, videographers, DJs and artiste which opened doors for collaborations and sharing of knowledge. His studio traffic increased. His retreat now became a environment that flourished with talent and creativity. Over the years the growth has been tremendous and impressive and beyond Leonard’s expectations when he first started. As a true visionary there’s more that he wants New Time Ent. achieve. He is constantly exploring new ideas to carry his brand into the future.
